How Elppa built a brand around a twist

ELPPA was a new apple cider drink launched in South Korea. To create a distinctive identity in a crowded beverage market, I developed the name “ELPPA”—a playful reversal of the word “apple” that immediately signalled a fresh perspective on a familiar product.

The idea became the foundation of the brand identity, with the logo featuring a double-sided apple marked by two stems. This concept extended into a series of animated social content pieces that played with dual perspectives, reinforcing the brand’s playful personality while creating a memorable and cohesive visual system across touchpoints.
